New Board Members

Women’s Aid Leicestershire is an organisation with a proud 40 year history of providing domestic violence services in Leicester and now Leicestershire and Rutland.  We have a history of innovation and are good at responding to challenges.  We have successfully negotiated the swings and roundabouts of Local Government funding and currently run 4 refuges and other DV services. We have a strong and vibrant Board, however, following a recent skills analysis, we would like to introduce new board members and a replacement for our outgoing Chair to ensure that we are addressing some of our gaps. If you have an understanding of some of the following: law, immigration legislation, the benefits system, social enterprise or if indeed you have other skills you feel you could offer, we would love to hear from you!

As a member of the Board of Trustees, you will have the opportunity to ensure that our important work continues into the future. We offer bespoke training and support depending on your experience, would require you to attend our quarterly board meetings and one of our sub committees depending on your skills and interests.
