We provide crisis intervention, advice and advocacy via our specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advisory Service, available to women and men assessed as high risk victims of domestic abuse.

Our specially trained Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) provide short to medium term intensive support to victims, including supporting individuals through the criminal justice system and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).

The role of our IDVAs is to address the safety of victims at risk of harm from intimate partners, ex-partners or family members. They work with victims from the point of crisis to assess the level of risk and to develop a personal safety plan, which includes discussing a range of options to secure their safety and that of their children.
