Following a very successful event last year, we hope to repeat the success with a new line up of hilarious female comedians. Held at the Newfoundpool Working Mens Club, there will be an MC to direct us through the night and five other comedians, as well as a raffle and a very reasonable bar.
Bring your friends and family along for what promising to be a night full of laughter.
Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased by emailing us on email@example.com or calling us on 0116 283 2225.
This year we are lucky enough to have four organisations sponsoring this events. We give our thanks to Moss Solicitors, Squire Alarms, the Loughborough Lions Club and the Harborough Twenty 12 Lions Club. Without their sponsorship we would not have been able to put on this event.

Girls Night In – Friday 25th November 2016
Did you know you can raise money for Women’s Aid Leicestershire, whilst having fun with your friends?
It’s that time of year again when we launch our ‘Girls Night In’!
Girls Night In is Women’s Aid Leicestershire’s flagship fundraising event to raise vital funds to support victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. We exist to provide support and refuge to women fleeing domestic abuse whilst also working to prevent future violence – and you can help us by hosting a Girls Night In event on Friday 25th November!
Events could include a tea and cake afternoon, a cocktail evening, a pamper party, or any other fun activities that you could organise at home with friends.
If you would be interested in hosting an event and would like a Girls Night In Kit, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This kit should contain everything you need to organise your own Girls Night In fundraising event. You’ll find fundraising ideas, planning tips and printable invites as well as lots more information on how to hold an amazing event for you and your friends!
Let’s make it our best Girls Night In yet!
We need to raise £139,000 voluntary income each year to run our Leicester Refuge and for which we no longer receive funding.
This equates to £140 per person per week, or £20 per person per night.
103 children and 155 women are regularly turned away from refuges because there is no space for them.
Our refuge is a safe haven where a woman and her children can escape if they are in fear of their lives, and forms part of a national network of refuges across England. We provide accommodation, emotional support and practical tools which help victims take control and move on in their lives.
Residents are encouraged to take part in activities together to help their recovery. Here’s a selection of photos of just some of the wonderful things our residents have achieved.
