Management Committee Members and Chair Required

 

Womens Aid Leicestershire Limited (WALL) is a leading provider of refuge and support services to women and their children escaping domestic violence across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.  

We are currently seeking new female Committee members who have an interest in domestic violence and we would particularly like to hear from you if you have experience in governance, law or fundraising. We also have a vacancy for a Chair. As a Committee member you will: 

  • Make decisions about the overall purpose and direction of WALL 
  • Ensure that the aims and objectives of the organisation are met 
  • Ensure that WALL operates within legal requirements You will be encouraged to play an active part in the organisation and there will be a need to attend a modest number of mostly evening meetings, for which reasonable travel expenses are paid.

Bank Workers

We are currently looking to recruit Bank Workers for the following positions within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland:

  • Refuge Worker (£11.40-£12.16 per hour) - Must have previous experience of work with vulnerable adults and children.
  • Family Support Worker (£10.07-£11.04 per hour) - Must have experience of community work and work with vulnerable adults.
  • Outreach Worker (£11.40-£12.16 per hour) - Must have experience of community and/or outreach work.
  • Administrative Assistant (£8.06-£8.63 per hour) - Must have experience of administrative work.
  • Childcare/Play Worker (£10.07-£11.04 per hour) - Must have experience of work with children 0-11 years.
  • Trainers (£11.40-£12.16 per hour) - Skilled in developing training materials and training programmes. Must have understanding of domestic violence.

Evening and weekend working is required.
